@sassmasterswift response
So I found one of the women John was dating, the one who helped you with that Chinese coding thing. *sighs softly and pinches the bridge of her nose* I see what you mean by boring. Prone to panic in the face of danger, more suited to a normal life, which you two obviously don't have. Not all that bright and conversation tended to dwindle when I first met her. Are they seriously all like that?
"Sarah. Yes, she was one of more intelligent women John’s dated. Fellow doctor I believe, however still an idiot. The ones after her grew steadily worse."
sassmasterswift entered the bureau
"What?"
Amusement lit up in her eyes and she smirked. "Pfft. Yeah, we're doing something, come on."
"And if I refuse?"
"You look bored. Wanna go do something?"
Ani blinked as she knocked on the door again, confused as she stared down at the tablet in her arms. She was sure she was at the right place, but she had been here numerous times with no surprise.
She then knocked again, waiting for a reply.
Sherlock, that's not how you greet new people!..
sassmasterswift replied to your post: She nodded in agreement. “Which is why I don’t get into it until I have to. Honestly, politics is more chaotic than back home." And that was saying a lot. “But how’ve you been lately? Anything new happening?"
Don’t do it Swift, don’t do it, don’t offer, don’t say it, don’t— “You know I’m good at hacking into stuff, right? If you’re curious enough…" Damn it. ((ask limit))
The detective's eyes lite up as he turned to face her fully for the first time. True, he wasn't a half bad hacker himself- though that was mainly him mostly deducing the passwords and security measures to get in- this saved time. "What is your interest in poetry?" He angled his head slightly to the side assessing her with the same amused look. It was as much of a cryptic go ahead as she was going to get, accompanied with the offering of John's laptop extended to her in the detective's outstretched hand.
