[[ Okay, so this is quite a big one… But I need to write this at some point anyways, so I might as well do it now!
First of all, ever since Sol was a kid, she and her family was feared and shunned by others due to the powers they had, and the yellow, cat-like eyes that came along with them. Even though her hometown was shunned by outsiders, they were still treated somewhat differently by the other villagers. Sol was a very willful child. Everything she does, she tends to do to the extreme. She loves to the extreme, and hates equally as much. She’s happier than anyone else, and angrier than anyone else. Throw in some mischief and magic, things tended to get out of hand, thus making people fear the little raven-haired girl with eyes that near glowed in the dark. This alongside the burning of her village has made her cautious in love, skeptic of others and their kindness. However, because of the way she is, she just can’t hold back. When she finds someone she loves, no matter how small and seemingly insignificant, she will love them with all of her heart, and fiercely protect them, go to any lengths for them.
Then there’s the matter of love for a significant other… This one’s even more complicated. Because of who she is, and how people have treated her, Sol believes herself to be a condemned, vile being, undeserving of something as precious as true love from someone else. Having such dark, evil strings pull at her inside, she even thinks she might not be capable of feeling true love for another, to feel anything other than sexual arousal and mutual satisfaction. This is part of the reason why she often goes into short, unhealthy “relationships”, or just have unimportant, sexual encounters.
Furthermore, she once found a man she thought she could love, one she thought could love her back. He was not a good person, and she knew, which was exactly why he wouldn’t care about her ‘flaws’. However, after a wild night in a random barn, having met him for the second time, the man had introduced himself as the very man that had ratted out her village to the marines, being second-hand the cause of her childhood’s destruction and beloved aunt’s death. Upon finding out, she forcefully nailed the poor bastard to the barn wall on a pitchfork, before watching him bleed out, eyes burning with hatred and broken tears…
Needless to say, she’s very cautious of love ^^, ]]
