“The technical skills, at least the most basic ones, are there, sure,” she murmured, a hand to her mouth. She didn’t seem to notice the paint she’d inadvertently tracked across her cheek as she did so, the brush still between her fingers. “But there’s no heart to it. It’s a failure.”

Rekka cleared her thought and quickly glanced down at the sketch in her hand, hoping to hide some of her own awkwardness that now flooded through her. What was she thinking? A witch shouldn’t go around just kissing people!
“You out of your head now? You looked far too depressed there...”

“It’s not your fault, no need to apologize.” She shook her head, turning from the beautiful painting to face the son of Dracula. She hadn’t expected such a pretty-looking man. She was kind of... jealous, actually. “I’m the one who’s sorry. I didn’t mean to trespass but I just kind of wanted to meet the guy who technically owns this area.”
From what Trevor had said he’d bequeathed the Belmont hold to Alucard and now they were squatting there as a temporary home.

What did she just find and read? Of all things to pick up! … It didn’t help that curiosity had compelled her to read it, leaving her stuck with all sorts of ideas running ‘round in her head about Alucard. While he’d been friendly she hadn’t immediately jumped to thinking about him in such an intimate way.
“This is going to make things awkward.” Rekka really didn’t want to think about who’d gone writing this, entertaining all sorts of fantasies within it. She’d casually trash it into the fireplace just in case.
