He soon froze up as she said this and swallowed. He could even feel a chill running up his spine at the mention of the horrid creature. "S-Say sike right now-" His teeth were chattering as terror filled his non-existent soul. That monster truly was his arch nemesis to this day.

     “I said ‘if!’ I don’t know if any are though so... knock on wood, I guess?” Was there anything wooden to knock on though? Probably should have looked first.

Oh, she actually heard that bit? Well it works out it seems to have worked out, though there’s no intention to ride this wave just yet. Instead he’s actually interested in listening, especially the nudity bit which has him chuckling? Him? Naked? Oh absolutely not, but he doesn’t say that aloud. Hopefully that’s something that never crops up. She’s got other models, probably.

      “Does it? I never really was the sort for any type for brushes or anything. I have the skills of what would be the equivalent of a drunk 5 year old. Dominant hand isn’t good with a gentle touch either. Still there’s different kind of weirdo’s out there. We got just the really gross ones, the fun ones, then the ones that I find flooding my home with lava as they stand outside stark naked telling me to ‘exorcise them while I make them confess their sins’. If you don’t fall in that last category then I think we’re golden girl regardless of literally anything else.”

It sounds like a joke, but with such a straight face it’s hard to tell if that’s actually the case. Either he’s a professional and pathological liar or apparently trouble was his middle name at this point. Not even going to mention that this was on a particularly good day as most end up more violent.

     “Sounds to me like you need a restraining order.” Was this guy okay? With a wave of her hand she chased away that topic, returning to the art she knew much more about. “If you can’t do gentle detail work, something more impressionistic would probably be better for your hand.”

     Not that she really expected the guy she just met to take her advice at face value--maybe he just had no personal interest in pursuing it after all. Nonetheless, he’d have to deal with her prattling about it as she started them off again, towards those ruins she wanted to poke around in. Just thinking about it made her wonder what shades of blues, lavenders and greens she would use while painting...

who are you?

tired. whatever it is, you don't want it anymore. You want to lay down with the pain, you want the pain to leave you quietly as you sleep. As you rest. Fighting is hard, giving up is hard too. You feel like you can't do either. You don't know what you need, even this question feels overwhelming. The word need scares you, it ties you down. You crave liberty from necessity.

leaving. Everything suffocates you. Whether it's your friends or family, your obligations or your mistakes, you feel chained down, in a chokehold. You want to leave, run away, close the door without anybody noticing. In a way, you feel as though you'd already left, like you were never here in the first place. You love in quick spurs of the moment, or else very quietly. You need to be loved, but you want to be freed.

     “My, who knew you’d be such a grump~?” Really, that just made it all the more fun. What would happen if Yadiel insisted on ruffling Airin’s hair right now? It was tempting to find out. “You’re lucky you’re cute when you’re pouting~.”

“R-Right…” She shook the other’s hand. Did her master ACTUALLY summon her on accident? The princess was reduced to a mere assistant. “P-Please, call me Assassin. Or at least Hime…” 

Her new master seemed interesting, but nothing she couldn’t handle. “Well, I assume you know the basics on how servants work, so we will move past that. Instead, how may I assist you first, Master?” From the looks of the room, her new master was….perhaps some kind of artist? This could be interesting. 

     “You ask a lot of me already.” Chances were very low that Rekka was going to forget what this random woman wanted to be called anyways but anything further she might have said was interrupted by a long yawn.

Rekka glanced around at her cluttered studio space, realizing just how much of a mess it had become in the last month since last she’d straightened up. ‘Oops...’ That should probably be handled first then.

     “Help me straighten up this mess, I guess?”

“Soooooo, I just got an order from Director Sakaki’s office, and it says here that we’re having a Lingerie Christmas Party~! All the ladies are required to wear their best Lingerie and the men boxers and bowties~” He’s lying out his teeth, but also knowing Paylor, it might be true.

And, as I recall, Purrloin can make use of this TM to learn Shadow Claw. So, perhaps it will be of more use to you than it would me.”

  N couldn’t help but laugh at how grateful Chelka seemed to be at the prospect of having a new move to try out. He’d understood the other’s intent loud and clear…And, thankfully for Rekka, he had no intention of asking for the TM back at all. Though…He paused a bit at Rekka’s question. She was curious about what he was up to now? Well…Admittedly, he hadn’t been expecting that. As it was, he didn’t really have many plans, and he’d yet to even decide on where he would go next.

  But…Maybe he could figure that out in time.

  “Ah, curious about my plans moving forward, are you? Admittedly, they’re nothing grandiose, as one might think…As it was, I planned to return to Team Plasma’s old castle to check on the infrastructure, ensure it wasn’t going to collapse in on the caverns beneath Victory Road, and then…I suppose I’d either go to the Dragonspiral Tower to reminisce on an old friend, or go to Driftveil City to stay with some former members of Team Plasma in the Plasma Safehouse while I decide on where I’ll journey next.”

A gift, huh? Fair enough--and just like that it was tucked away into a side pocket of her too-large bag. She’d probably lose it somewhere between the pencil cases and sketchbooks but that was a worry for future Rekka.

     “You want a tag-along for some of it? I’m mildly intrigued as to what kind of trouble you’ll get yourself into.” Essentially she just wanted a front row seat for something interesting, even if it would largely be at the expense of someone else.

Chelka offered a roll of her eyes, most likely well aware of Rekka’s intentions. The pair had been partners for a long enough time that it shouldn’t be a surprise.

“Man, I will just never be able to draw Cutiefly right, huh?” That sheet was promptly crumpled up and tossed over her shoulder, the stains of paint and ink bleeding through in places.
