As I keep growing up I start realizing how toxic SS is. I used to be a huge shipper and I defend Sasuke for everything, but you know what? I do realize now that "She truly loved him and understand him" is bullshit and it's definitely a wrong message to young girls.If a boy tries to kill you, that's it, there is no more chances. There's no "I will always love him because I know what he's going trough". NO! There are limits and Sakura should have stop loving him the moment he tried to kill her.

you do realize sasuke and sakura are ninjas? they’re trained to kill from a young age -- in case you didn’t notice... the context is VERY different from what you’re trying to apply
not only was sasuke a dangerous and rogue ninja with a plan for vengeance against her village, sasuke was very disturbed and had suffered. sakura knew this and she knew the man who attacked her wasn’t the boy who’d let team 7 into his heart. she knew better than that.

in any case, sakura KNEW exactly whom she’d fallen in love with, she knew he was in there somewhere, but that wasn’t him who attacked her. Sasuke would never have done that to her, and sasuke would never had discarded an ally/comrade as he discarded karin either, he wouldn’t have done half the shit he did when he was going rampant
