At first, he blinks. Her words make total sense, after all. If he were anybody else, there’s a high likelihood that he would have feared her. Hell, if he weren’t the way he were now, there’s an even higher chance that he would have. But of the few good things his circumstances have brought him, he thinks she’s on the top of that list. He finally manages a smile, and it’s warm - soft.

“You’ve got more than enough people to do that. You deserve somebody who can do the opposite, right?”

And, while usually he waits for her to initiate, for once... He leans over carefully, hands lightly grasping her shoulders, and he kisses her.

When she said she wanted to try something, he had honestly not taken much stock of what she could be referring to. Something fairly vanilla is what he’s envisioning, but...well, this was Lilith. She was derived from the devil himself, so perhaps he should have...adjusted his expectations a tad bit more?

He swallows dryly, face flush with red as he sees the multiple tendrils suddenly spawn from along her back. 

“Ah-- s-so that’s what you meant...”

Well, let it never be said that he doesn’t at least have some sense of endurance. He hugs his own arms shyly, head dipping down as his blush becomes more pronounced.

“R-Right...well, I can certainly give it a shot...j-just...t-take it slow, at first...?”

It’s not really often that she does something like this, but in fairness -- he did probably need to shut up. Blaming himself for the things that have happened to him...that didn’t really help him, did it? Even if it felt like the weight of the world sat on his shoulders.

It’s not exactly within Lilith’s typical paygrade to spare sympathies, she’s not exceptionally charitable. And yet, even just this -- this small halt, telling him to stop and take a moment -- that’s all he really needs. It’s probably what he needs most right now, in fact.

He pauses, hint of pink on his cheeks as his words stammer to a soft silence. His eyes land on her own, and he nods quietly, gently puts his fingers over her knuckles and keeps it there.

“You’re right...thank you...”

Laying awake wasn’t unusual for him. Sleep wasn’t something he tended to get very much of. And yet, despite this, he definitely wasn’t expecting to feel anything shift up against him in bed. He nearly jumps, at first, but when he turns instinctively to see what it is, it’s her -- and he stops.

Was she feeling lonely by herself? A slow, sleepy blink as he feels the warm drift of her body heat. Hands carefully work themselves around her midriff, arms extending out so he gets her cradled in a nice, comfortable hug.

“Hey...” He whispers, “Need some company?”
