Only just found out that ‘satoimo’ is apparently taro? I had heard of taro, but apparently never bothered to look up satoimo before. I had no idea!

Harvesting satoimo ( (里芋 Japanese taro roots?) feels like autumn to me.I think my favorite way of eating them is in miso soup but as a mid-day snack I will zap them in the microwave with their skins on and eat them only with a pinch of salt.
