Burroughs door, Jack lived in room with roof terrace upstairs with view of Tangiers bay, had begun typing mss. of Naked Lunch, and soon left for Paris. On the Road was published that year 1957, but Kerouac had already written a dozen books up to Desolation Angels Part I.
