Sattgrün caught our eye as soon as we moved to Düsseldorf. With great branding, three locations and a constant flow of people going in, it's pretty hard to miss. They offer a wide variety of all vegan meals, in a self-service setting, making it possible to taste all their daily recipes. The menu is quite diverse; they have loads of yummy curries, vegan stews and goulashes, and vegan sweet treats like brownies and banana cake. The food tastes great and by eating there you are supporting their ethical business choices, such as only carrying fair trade coffee, serving fresh local ingredients & not using any preservatives. Make sure you don't miss out on the Streuselkuchen, it's scrumptious. Sattgrün is by far the best vegan restaurant we have found as of yet, and a great D'dorf institution.
