At first blush, it was hilarious to consider Jesse McCree one of the least conspicuous members of the reborn Overwatch. It made one wonder, really, why someone who specialized in covert ops and had spent years on the run from the law and worse would make himself so... visually distinctive to begin with. But to those he trusted most, he'd gladly explain the simple reasoning: if your enemies know what they're looking for, then you know what they're not looking for.
So it was that he'd left his hat and boots at home and pulled his slightly-too-long hair back with an electric orange elastic band he'd begged off of Hana, and managed to look downright ordinary as he pushed the cart along behind Satya. He glanced over his shoulder at the shelf, let out a soft 'huh' at what he found there, and tossed it into the cart.
Satya turned around, her forehead wrinkling. "What is that?"
"Peppermint flavored marshmallows."
She paused, making the distinct face of worry that usually meant she'd almost said something but realized it sounded mean and was trying to rephrase it. "I don't think we have anything planned that those will... complement."
"Nah." He shrugged halfheartedly. "But maybe we'll come up with something."
She frowned momentarily, then looked back at the cart. "...Jesse, literally half of this is not on the list."
"But it looked neat!" He flashed her his best charming grin, leaning on the handle of the cart. "Look, you don't have to do anything with it, that's fine. I know you like to know what you're doin' beforehand, but I like to mess around a little more than that. I promise I'll write down everything I try, and if I stumble upon something good, you can help me make a proper recipe out of it. Sound good?"
There was a pause, and her forced smile softened a bit. "An acceptable compromise. That is-- obviously, you can buy whatever you like, I'm certainly not the arbiter of the kitchen--"
"Nah, nah, I gotcha." He waved a hand dismissively. "Cooking alone sucks anyway. Rather have you around to keep me from wandering off and burning the damn base down." He nudged her hip playfully with the cart. "Hey, how about we get some strawberries to go on that angel food cake you were gonna make?..."
