This Szechuan sauce dip is a perfect balance of savory, sweet, and spicy flavors. It's great for dipping dumplings, spring rolls, or drizzling over stir-fries.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup rice vinegar. 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon grated ginger. 1 teaspoon sesame oil. 1 teaspoon cornstarch. 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes.
Instructions: Brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, cornstarch, and crushed red pepper flakes should all be mixed together in a small saucepan with a whisk. Over medium-low heat, stir the mixture often until it comes to a simmer. Turn down the heat and let the sauce simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, until it gets thicker. Take it off the heat and let it cool down a bit before you serve.
