What is Harissa Paste? - - - Harissa is a spicy North African condiment of Tunisian origins. The main ingredients of which are roasted red peppers, Baklouti peppers or serrano peppers, spices, and herbs such as garlic, caraway seeds, coriander seeds, cumin and olive oil.  There are numerous variations of harissa depending on the region (or the family) since some recipes include herbs and spices.
