Banks that do that shit are fucking awful!!! I switched to an online bank that doesn't have fees thankfully and updates it's acct info way faster than my old one so it helps me avoid overdrafts bc of that too, it's called Aspiration Bank (kind of amusing bc googling it causes google to be like "the medical emergency of aspiration is..." no idea if it's US only or not though??

I’m not sure if it is, but I’m also reluctant to rely on an online bank because I do like being able to actually talk to someone in person if something goes really wrong with anything. I’m considering switching to a different bank that doesn’t do that - or when they do, you get plenty of warning and not like two fucking hours etc and are much more understanding with wavering the charges.

i mean that’s fair, i was nervous about the idea until i was like 24, at which point i moved and then didn’t have money for years. but now i have some money and am dumb and impulsive
