Before she had the chance to close the door on him, Jack stuck his foot out, wedging the door to Sav’s room open as he turned his speaker on, the smirk on his face making it clear he had far from forgotten Valentines - and that he’d maybe watched a bit too much Love Actually, with a Taylor Swift spin on it as he solemnly held up the first of many, many handwritten white cards - this one bearing the statement Hello soulmate -  and the speaker blasted You Belong With Me.

“I mean, honestly, who brings the whole fucking school to Disney anyway? Just for their birthday?” So it was likely common knowledge that Iris was not the biggest fan of Ches. If anything, she strongly disliked the girl - she didn’t like to use the word hate, liked to reserve it for worse people, but if she had been one to throw it around she almost certainly would have ascribed it to her. Perhaps it made her a little bit of a hypocrite, the fact that she had still accepted the free vacation - but as far as Iris was concerned, Ches had offered and there had been no contract demanding that Iris be nice about the older girl. Therefore, she wasn’t about to be. “It feels like a big popularity grab. Like, look at me, I flew everyone out to Cali just to try and make them forget about the time I exposed someone’s dad for no reason!”

“It’s gonna be fine?” Jack raised an eyebrow as he leaned back in his seat, before putting his feet up on the desk in front of him, practically turning himself into the caricature of the school villain. Appropriate, considering the setting being the detention room, although the two of them were currently alone, the supervising teacher having left the room. “I spend like, half my life in here. I smoke in here all the time. They literally give no fucks.”
