Heyo! *grumble* I'm missing this place so much you won't believe-- unfortunately my internet hasn't improved at all for the past month. So rather than taking hiatus after hiatus I've decided to drop my boys until I'm in a much more stable condition!

Your internet still isn’t up?  That’s horrible; I’m so sorry to hear that, my friend.  I think that dropping your characters until everything is good to go is the best thing to do; we don’t want you keeping a character in reserve continuously just in the possible hope that your internet comes back.  That wouldn’t be fair to yourself, nor others who might wish to play those characters.  It is my hope that you rejoin us when things are better on your end.  And if your boys are still available then, then you’re always welcome to them.  Thank you so much for playing Hugh and Steven while you were here!  I hope things go better for you!

Hello, Manectric-Mod. Could I ask an extension for Steven and Hugh's hiatus? Our internet, regrettably, still hasn't been set up ((it's taking so much time and I am livid)) which still leaves me in a bind. I'm itching to get back!!

Roleplay has become the itch you can’t scratch thanks to these internet problems!  A few of us have experiences “technical difficulties” like that one, and I assure you, we’re just as angry as you are!  I’ve extended their hiatus another week, so now you’ve got until January 18th to pester the heck out of your internet provider.  Hopefully we’ll see you back then.  Don’t lose hope!

Hello, Manectric-mod! May I ask for a hiatus for Steven and Hugh? I want to focus on personal matters for a while, along with the fact that the WiFi still hasn't been set up in our new place.

I’m sorry to hear that there are some trying times in your personal life right now!  I know that this must be a hard time for you.  I’ll put your boys on a hiatus until January 11th, so I hope you take care of them, and that everything gets resolved peacefully and quickly.  I also hope that your wifi gets installed soon, ‘cos we’ve all experienced the horrors that are “no internet.”  We’ll see you back then, okay friend?  Don’t stress out.

Holiday Cheer || Hugh & Michael [event]

Michael was grumpier than usual this Christmas Eve morning. He watched Professor Krane with narrowed eyes, expression gradually growing more sour. “You want me to what?”

“We don’t have anyone else to do it. Think how happy the kids will be!”

He really didn’t care about the children’s happiness. Well, maybe a little bit. But not enough to dress up as an elf to accompany Santa around a trip to the major settlements of Orre. And he sure as hell wasn’t walking into Pyrite dressed as one.

But Jovi would love it. Worse, she’d be all upset if she found out he’d refused. It couldn’t be that bad, right?

…Yeah, no way in hell was he doing it. “No.” He hoped that would be enough to shut the Professor down, but it didn’t seem to be. 

“Come on now, you won’t be the only one doing it!”

“Well then who else is involved in this ridiculous thing?” he shot back.

First Impressions are Everything.

Normally. Selene thought of herself as a nice girl. Sure she had her...problems but then again who didn't!? She’d always try to be nice and sociable to strangers no matter how stupid they looked, or how ugly their clothes were. Truly everyone was blessed that she at least tried to keep it to herself. However when she traveled around the Region...in search of something interesting. A particular stranger caught her eye. Selene always did her best to keep things to herself and be nice.

But she couldn’t. Not today.

“BWAHAHA! WHY THE HELL IS THERE A QWILFISH ON YOUR HEAD?!”

🎶- flannery would find it quite boring. her taste in music probably includes pop, rock and the combination of the two. indie is just not her style.

🔮- she would probably play along and laugh at the absurdity of it all- she doesn’t believe in those kind of things- at least until one of the predictions happen by coincidence- she would then start to believe their predictions (after a long, sleepless night of shock and contemplation)- and pester the fortune teller everyday, driving them away

👙- she acts like she doesnt give a damn- but secretly reads and researches on the latest trends- she’d also probably lie if asked about it

It’s a question he recalled hearing years ago: “Hey Red…” a quiet voice would call, snapping his eyes away from Pikachu and into an all-too familiar hazel, now flashing a slight tint of vibrant emerald, “are you really happy…like this?”

Red then remembers how his fingers would jolt to a stop stroking Pikachu’s head, causing the pokemon to bury himself deep within his trainer’s shirt to regain his attention; he resumes nonchalantly and hums for moment. He lifted his head to stare at the sky. On that day it was clear, clouds moving listlessly across the pale blue sky, the sun barely peeking out from them and he notices that it’s exactly the same today as well.

He raises his index fingers to the corners of his mouth, pulling them upwards to create a smile, and looks at the – oh! The trainer’s hair looks familiar! Red blinks hard to recall the familiar shape and inhales a sharp breath through his stretched-out lips, but rather than blurting out on what this trainer resembled, Red had better things to do.

“It’s a smile. I’m happy,” he answers with absolutely no emotion in his voice.

“There must be a Heart Scale here somewhere. . .”

He paces around the beach area for possibly the seventh time now, checking everywhere for the valuable item. Brendan looks under seashells, behind palm trees and even on the shallow seawater. No luck, however.

Looking for Luvdisc isn’t an option. He has absolutely no Pokemon in hand, with them resting in the Pokemon center after an exhausting small tournament he took part in the day before. During said tournament, he discovered new moves that aren’t part of his Pokemon’s natural moveset or through technical machines: they were taught through special move tutors. 

And that’s precisely the reason as to why Brendan is wandering around the beach, looking for Heart Scales under the scorching heat of the sun at half past two in the afternoon.

The sun wouldn’t be scorching for too long though, as dark clouds start to plague the once vibrant sky in the blink of an eye. Trainers (including Brendan himself) quickly rush to the nearest Pokemon center as a drizzle kicks in.

Taking a seat down near the window, he scoffs as the drizzle turns into a thunderstorm, with the beach area being blurred out thanks to the fog the onset of rain brought. 

“Welp . . . looks like no heart scales for me then.”
