The trolls of Oscana are calm, measured creatures. The effect of the Ulisserai, and Toram in particular, is even stronger with them than with other species. Their wisdom and long lives mean trolls are slow to make decisions and plan for far in the future.

Troll communities are incredibly well laid out and meticulously built. Most villages and towns follow a pattern or shape favored by the lead Troll when it was designed. This can be seen in their cities as well. The Ulisserai Toram’s symbol, an eye, was used to design their first home of Tiziti, in the south.

There are two areas of Oscana which trolls call home. In the south, the trolls evolved to survive in the savannah. They are tall, lithe, and incredibly fast when they need to. The trolls on the northern arm of Oscana adapted to the rainforest,and tend to be shorter, stockier, and exceptional climbers.

Trolls's regeneration ability is something they hold in reverence, as they believe this was a gift by Toram. Its benefits are manifold. However, their vulnerability to fire has led to some very unique challenges for their society. Consequently, they have very few smiths and rely on trade to acquire weapons, armor, tools, and anything requiring metal working. Many trolls are scared of fire and will not tolerate being near open flames of any kind. There are no torches, forges, or campfires in Troll settlements, and this has led to a more agricultural society. Trolls either eat raw meat or are vegetarian, as they generally do not use fires to cook. Those that do cook using fire are considered brave and are treated with respect. They tend to sleep and awaken with the sun as they do not use fire to light the nighttime .
