I'd just like to say... this Save Sashi business is the most incredible thing I've ever heard. I wish desperately I could say that I'd been a part of it, but the best part of it is, by the time I found out about it, the money had ALREADY been raised. I literally didn't even have time to think about it - I barely had time to LEARN about it. How fantastic is that? I've never been more of a fangirl with a show than with Supernatural, and NEVER have I been more proud to say so. This fandom isn't crazy, it's amazing. And it saves lives.

I've never been more proud of this fandom. Or of fandoms in GENERAL for that matter. The Supernatural fandom certainly has it's flaws, but you know what? They're saving this girl's life. And SO many of the other fandoms of tumblr are stepping up too. I'm fairly new to this fandom. I'm even MORE new to tumblr.

It's an amazing thing to witness. In one night, a few of Sashi's friends got the word out that she needed a surgery, and asked for donations. It spread. Like. Wildfire. It's been what? Two days? Three? And there's already been over $30,000 donated. Which is what she needs. Another amazing thing to behold? The ACTORS. The Actors have been stepping up and supporting their FAN. The actors in Supernatural are amazing, and no one can deny that. All the retweeting, the information shared, Kim Rhodes ALONE...  these actors actually support all the fans who support them, and it's beautiful. So thank you, everyone. Supernatural fandom, and every other fandom who stepped in to help. Thank you for showing that we can pull our efforts together for a greater reason then helping Actors win awards. Hey, pay attention!

Tumblr was amazing in helping me replace a child's favorite toy after the Joplin tornadoes, so I'm coming to you again!

By now you probably have already heard about Supernatural fan Sashi. She's just 24 years old and facing a condition called endometriosis. As you also probably know, our healthcare system sucks, and lots of SPN (and other fans) have been sending donations and doing commissions and everything they can to help pitch in.

Unfortunately, I don't have the money to donate, but I want to help as much as I can, so I am taking fanfiction/short story commissions. Just give me a fandom/theme and whatever details you want and I will write at least 1,000 words of fic just for you!

Commissions for a Good Cause?

So, I've personally donated to the cause (you can read more about the whole situation at this tumblr), but I can't really afford more than $10 at the moment. SO! I'm proposing to do art and fic commissions to help raise some money.

My question is, is anyone interested? If more than one or two are, I'll set up a post after this to get things moving. Homework and stuff be damned, I will MAKE time for this.

(To clarify, I'll still do commissions for one or two, if they're interested, because it's a REALLY good cause. But if I don't make a bigger post about this by tonight, I'd ask you to just send a message to my ask?)

Tonight, I have been part of something beautiful. Someone on tumblr reached out to help out a friend in need. Sashi a amazing girl who yet has her whole life to live, needs a surgery that cost her a lot of money. In order to survive, her friend started asking for donations to the Supernatural Fandom or anyone willing to help! It has spread out like wild fire and has engulfed my heart with pride of being part of this beauty. Aching to help in any way I can. I can't offer money for I am very low on cash, can't draw for commission or anything like that. So I am spreading the word, since it's the only thing I can possibly do. Please help a fellow tumblr out.  We as tumblr must help anyone who desperately needs our help. We must show the world how amazing we can be. How extraordinarily beautiful it is for a group of strangers who have never met and are miles and miles away can come forward and unite to help one another.  Spread the word or donate.
