Do you hate phone scammers??
Hello friends, off and on for the past few months myself and people in my family have received very serious sounding voicemails from various scam phone numbers. They will call and leave a message. The message is a man with a very stern sounding voice saying that a "formal complaint" has been filed against my father in law and that if I know anything about his whereabouts I need to return the call within so many hours or days.
My father in law passed away this year.
Recently I've been getting these calls again. But because I know it's a scam, and because I feel in my heart that these people are horrible and heartless to have the gall to sit in a room and prey on innocent people all day instead of going out and working for their money in a legitimate way- I have taken it upon myself to answer their calls. I will call them back if they leave a message and I will tell them "I just want you to know that what you are doing is disgusting and I don't see how you live with yourself."
I did this twice. The first man hung up on me after I said that. The second woman jumped right into "Fuck you bitch." Even if I didn't already know it's a scam, that is deplorable "customer service". But obviously being civil is the least of these peoples' worries.
So what I'm getting at is this: I know that getting these people to stop won't put an end to all phone scammers. But if we could put an end to THESE phone scammers that would at least save some poor old people from falling for this BS. Because you know the elderly are the most vulnerable.

They don't always answer the first time. They will say to enter your party's extension or press 0 to speak to a "customer service representative". Call them and help put an end to them. Say you know they are a scam. Tell them how you feel about them preying on innocent people. Make them regret being criminals. (I'm not asking anyone to be violent about it.)
