'Nia realised that they liked Starscream when he began to trust them. Of course, he advocated for them before. When they weren't received well because of their techno-organic frame, Starscream pulled rank and helped them become a Decepticon scientist. He gave them their chance, and they proved themself. That made them fond, at least in a platonic sort of way, but when Starscream began to trust them after the war, to become vulnerable with them, that's when they realised they loved him. He was so much more than others said. He was arrogant and self-serving. Disloyal, in many ways. But he genuinely wanted what was best for Cybertron. He was determined to put aside his Decepticon badge and remain neutral so that another war would be prevented. He worked hard, day in and day out, to see Iacon restored and peace upheld. And when they're alone, 'Nia sees what he could have been, before the shadowplay and his harsh upbringing. Starscream can be funny and thoughtful, and... almost tender. No, 'Nia is FAR from ashamed of their relationship with the Lord Chancellor of Cybertron.
A serious one this time!
I really do love them and their dynamic,,
