C-Reezy: “I’m Gon”
I’m glad y’all like that song by C-Reezy I shared. I heard it last Sunday on GSU’s radio station Album 88. Their Rhythm and Vibes show is too dope.
My favorite part of the song is when it shifts to chopped and screwed at the end. Many hip hop beats sound really gorgeous when they’re slowed.
While the circumstances surrounding this piece on the history of WRAS at Georgia State in Atlanta are dire (see http://www.savewras.com), it is nonetheless an excellent retrospective of the station and its impact.
in 2009 there were drastic changes to the WRAS Saturday lineup. But we just moved it around. Next Saturday, only 216 people worldwide will be able to hear WRAS programming today, 7/28/2014 millions could hear WRAS.
Student radio should be nurtured, not sold off. Once you lose it, you very rarely get it back.
