#SAVE DAUGHER OF THE SUN // HASH TAG HELP

Instagram users are using hashtag #daughterofthesun to show their support for Amy, aka Daughter of the Sun, after her account was deleted without warning a few days after she was interviewed by The Huffington Post about a photo, in which she breast fed her baby while doing yoga, went viral. The photo was 2 years old and had existed peacefully on Amy’s IG feed until some pea-brained pervs saw it on HuffPo and decided to flag it. 

Amy was a source of inspiration to her followers who enjoyed photos of her idyllic daily life on Maui filled with family, yoga, meditation, oneness with nature, organic food and experiences of pure joy.  Fans hope the hastag will act as a petition to convince Instagram to reinstate Daughter of the Sun’s account. Show your support today!

Maybe you’re not a hashtagger, but you can help get the conversation going. Breastfeeding is the most natural and beautiful thing a human being can do. It’s what nature intended. It is a sick sick world when a mother breast feeding her baby is considered offensive.  The world needs some major healing.

One of the most inspirational and beautiful beam of love and light, @daughterofthesun, ig account has been deleted due to censorship- possibly because of a wonderful breastfeeding photo- this is truly saddening. Shocked and genuinely saddened to see that the inspirational earth mother @daughterofthesun has had her account deleted by @instagram. I can not believe that images of a mother breast feeding her child are considered worthy of censorship! With all the misogynistic imagery we are all exposed to on a daily basis, these photos were a light relief, a true reflection of the beauty of a mother and her love for her child, the earth and nature. #savedaughterofthesun #breastisbest
