PLEASE READ! As My Booklandia I'm not political but I'm a serious fan of libraries, books and reading. In my little community our library is critical, providing many services for children and adults from lending books to free internet and use of computers and so much more. The proposed US FY2018 budget eliminates all funding for the Institute of Museum and Library Services which provides funding and development of library services to meet community needs. Important programs like Summer Reading Programs, adult literacy and high school diploma programs, providing books to underserved rural areas just to name a few.
