The Malayan Tigers (Harimau Malaya) are nocturnal animals that spend most of the day sleeping and traveling across their territories, hunting for prey during the night. Illegal poachers are making use of this information and hunting down the tigers when night falls. Our Harimau Malaya needs our help. Malayan Tigers may mate year-round, but the females attain estrus between November and March. A female Malayan Tiger's gestation period ranges between 100 and 105 days, after which a litter of 3 to 4 cubs are born. However, poaching and unsustainable development in the tiger's natural habitat have disrupted the natural reproduction cycle of the Malayan Tigers. When I heard about the Malayan Tiger species is endangered, I have a lot of mixed emotions; angry, sad and scared. First of all, I'm so angry when I heard that people dare to hunt these innocent tigers for black market demands and illegal traditional medications. Next, I'm sad about this because Malaysia will lose an iconic animal which is, until now, displayed on various images. From Malaysia's coat of arms to @famalaysiaofficial jerseys, our Malayan tigers have been our strength for generations. So, let's get together to save the Malayan Tigers. Enjoy!
