tell me if you think i’m wrong,,,, but penny,,,, would be able to smell the elders’ bullshit from a mile away,,,,, treating her favourite cousin wyatt ( @creatingxdragons ) the way they do,,,,, keeping an eye on p.j. ( @savesall ) because of her special cupid-witch powers the way they do,,,,, manipulating and using parker ( @drainsall ) the way they do,,,,, she can SEE it and she doesn’t LIKE it okay the elders are gonna catch penny’s hands!! like she’s the youngest and least special, they’re never going to take an interest in her, so she’s super observant and wise to the way they manipulate her siblings and cousins.
“ remember emma wilson from our high school algebra class? ——— a few weeks ago i found out she was accused of witchcraft. i ended up following the case to see what was going to happened. ” it was common for melinda to follow each case. to see if the outcomes would ever be different ( which, usually, they never are. ) the cases always end the same and with each verdict, 𝐢𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐫. “ she was just found guilty an hour ago. they’re sending her to one the camps till her execution date is finalized. ——— i honestly don’t know how much more i can take of this. it’s wrong to just be standing around and doing nothing. ” ( @savesall // dope thnxs )
“ 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐈𝐓. you don’t get what it was like to not feel in control of your body, of your actions, even your thoughts. every part of me felt like i was being violated by this freaking warlock and his demons. ” it still made her shiver. go sold cold to the core because parker didn’t feel like she could ever trust herself again. “ ——— meanwhile, everyone thought i was just imagining the whole thing. this went on for years, pj. so excuse me if i don’t want to get over it right now. ” ( @savesall // you literally told me to tag you in stuff so here we are!!! )

the mother feels responsible despite her daughter’s stubborn nature and desire to protect innocents. prudence johnna reminds phoebe so much of her big sister that she still feels incomplete without. a sister whom phoebe wishes that her girls could meet if only the elders were not selfish. finally, she speaks.
“ get some sleep, ladybug. you deserve a good night’s rest. “

ME
ON IT
so, uh, here’s the thing. like most things in life, penny didn’t mean to do it. be it an accidental spell, or in this case, missing dinner with the big sister she doesn’t see that much anymore ( because pj is working and penny has two jobs on top of a secret vigilante calling. ) penny didn’t mean to miss dinner. she even left a note ! which appears to not have been found, but still. she thought she’d make it. and then she had a premonition about a thief knocking an old lady into traffic, and really, was penny just supposed to ignore it ? really, if pj knew about penny’s civilian-saving antics, she’d really approve and oh shit pj looks pissed —
so penny finds her sister in her bedroom, sitting on her bed, waiting for penny to return from wherever she’s been. penny can’t hide the huge gash across her cheek ( she’s hoping a little magic might fix that later on, and how was she supposed to know that the thief had a knife ? ) so she stutters and stares, and hopes pj won’t kill her. ❛ you scared me! ❜
@savesall liked for a starter !
@savesall / continued from here.
penny leans into her big sister’s hand and she closes her eyes, taking a deep breath before looking up at p.j. looking up to p.j, because hasn’t she always adored her eldest sister ? hasn’t she always, even when she’s felt resentful towards p.j.’s protectiveness, aspired to be just like her ? ❛ you promise ? ❜ she might be twenty now, all grown up ( kind of ) and in college, but for a moment, she feels small, a little girl all over again. like she’s six and scared and her big sister’s going to make it all go away.
at p.j.’s next words, the frown on her face gives way to a soft smile, and a giggle slips past rose-tinted lips. ❛ you could take me for ice cream like we used to when you picked me up from middle school. ❜ truthfully, penny doesn’t like ice cream that much. it’s too cold and her teeth are sensitive and it gives her headache. but p.j. started the tradition when she was younger — she’d pick penny up from school and they’d get ice cream. so even if penny has secretly harboured a dislike for ice cream since she was thirteen, it makes p.j. happy, which means it makes penny very happy.
