1. If you attained your own private island, what would you name it? I'm honestly the worst person at naming things but probably oaky island

2. What is your favourite season and why? My favorite season is spring because its warm and kinda chilly still

3. If money were no object, where would you like to travel right now? Umm I'd like to go to New York with my Internet family <3 

4. What is your favourite thing on your bedroom walls/ceiling? The doctor who posters my best friend got me for my birthday 

5. Is there anything interesting about where you live (touristy or otherwise)? Um Parris Island is the Marine Corps base

6. If you could be anything in the world, regardless of education/training etc needed, what would you want to be? I really want to be an author 

7. Favourite cereal?  I don't have a favorite cereal as I do not eat it but when I was younger it was kix 

8. Weirdest thing in your purse/backpack/daybag right now? Probably a  fortune from a fortune cookie that says "It is not the strong but the responsive that survive" which is funny because its from the fortune cookie I dropped 

9. When you listen to a song for the first time, do the lyrics have any influence over if you like the song or not? I've never really thought of that but yeah I think so. I wouldn't have Blurred Lines in my iTunes. 

10. If you could choose anyone in the world as your roommate, who would you choose? My best friend Maya

11. If I walked into your bedroom and moved all your stuff half an inch or so, would it bother you? I have cousins who come over sometimes and they move my pillows and turn the toilet paper the other way and it bothers me so much so if you move those things I'll probably punch you but you could move everything else and I wouldn't care

Just had the best night I’ve had in a while. Well aside from watching my cousins and mom dance to 80s music over the weekend. Glory days 2.0 is best thing ever. I love you guys!

My Families

            We don’t have family pictures hanging on walls and morning breakfast is a Sunday special until you’re old enough to make it yourself. We each have our corners; my mom the backyard, my dad his office, and me my room. I sometimes venture from my corner to talk to them. My dad in his office 80’s music playing him in his chair me on the couch. My mom the backyard with her cigarettes. Two different conversations merging only in car rides to Disney or cousins.

            Then there are my cousins, I see a bit of me in all of them. The nine year old, everywhere all at once and full of imagination and confidence. The thirteen year old, a bit lost but still kinda sure. The nineteen year old, who hides away from family only to emerge sometimes when bored or hungry. Thirty-three year old who is now sure of what she wants, to live life with no regrets and to reach her dream. Forty-two, the quiet listener who when he finds something to say makes everyone smile. We come together over food full of talks of the future and laughs of the past.

Finally there is my internet family. Formed by broken people held together by tape and glue. We fell apart as families sometimes do but got put back together. Anyone else wouldn’t dare touch the shards in fear of being cut but this family is like your favorite mug, you risk being cut because of all the memories it holds and the ones yet to come.

It may by odd to have three families but I love them all dearly. All holding different advice and all helping shape who I am today.
