IF SAVING HOUDINI EVER GETS ANY SEMBLANCE OF A FANDOM GUYS:
Walt would have most likely had to fight in WWII
Explaination:
Canada (where the book is set) adopted conscription during both world wars
He would mostly probably be considered able bodied by the goverment
He would be 24-29 during WWII, literally the age that they were scouting for
:''(((((((((((
I am suffering THOUGHTS
has anyone read the book Saving Houdini by *checks book* Michael Redhill? I'm just curious.
Because the book... it is AMAZING.
I had no idea that I needed time travel magic gays from the 1920s but here I am. *Technically there are no canon queer people but the way the main character talks about his 'friends' begs to differ*
if you have- I WANNA TALK ABOUT IT. If you haven't READ IT. It's sooooo good.
It's basically about this kid (his name is Dash) and he is from 2011. Dash really likes magic- Houdini is literally his hero. After a magic trick gone wrong, he gets to meet Houdini!... as he is time-travelled 85 years into the past- to 1926. He enlists the help of a trouble maker (named Walter Gibson) in an attempt to get him back to 2011, but also to save Houdini's life.
*That was basically a summary of the back cover btw, so no spoilers*
so yeah here's a poll for the above ig:
Have you read Saving Houdini by Michael Redhill?
Yes
Didn't Finish It/Is Still Reading
No, (But Have Heard of It)
Never Heard of It
Sorry that the cover is off-centred, I tried.
