Megatron…
That’s the best question you’ve asked yourself in 40 years.
@savior-of-humanity
Sid blinked, pain blossoming from his head as he slowly tried to gather his bearings and figure out where the fuck he was and what was going on. He'd come into consciousness in what looked to be a demon hive on some sort of technological area. Creatures moving around him in threatening manners. He'd vaguely recognized them by type as it were but the head injury was still taking a moment to heal, and as he looks up he sees the ripple in the air as it closed, making it clear he'd landed in this reality maybe a few seconds ago. He'd move quickly, rolling backwards to get his feet back under him and ripping a scythe made from what looked to be some sort of void rimed with indigo light. He was damned if he was going to be overrun by demons of all things.

Big Boss just had to see for himself.
He knew how to treat a wound, for God's sake, he had been digging bullets out of himself since he was first handed a gun.
Wounds came with the territory. Terrible scars came after. It was better to accept them, to wear them as proof of battle worth being scarred for. Perseverance. Sacrifice. The willingness to do what others would not, and the refusal to let flesh and blood separate a soldier from their objective.
Scars could be stupid, unlucky, or unnecessary, but Snake could get away with this one. It might not even leave a mark.
He just had to see, with his own eye.
He wanted to write this Snake off as anything but what he knew for certain he was, but the closer he was to the young man, the more it revealed the results of a betrayal he couldn't force himself to forgive.
Big Boss wiped away the blood, and looked at him until the feeling of familiarity started to become nauseating.
He was accustomed to the idea of a double, a second head, but this -
“It's good to treat your injuries in the field when you’re not being pursued.”
Snake was living his life. His hair would grow the same way, his face would be indistinguishable, all the way down to his damnable DNA, and he felt for a second like ending this farce with his bare hands.
Snake probably wouldn't see it coming. Why would he suspect that Big Boss would try to kill him? It would never be easier to do it than it was right this second, to simply snap his neck and liberate the poor kid from living out the nightmare of his DNA, but…
“It’s a small cut, but it could still get infected, and that could cost you - not just in the field, but permanently.”
He prepped a bandage. He knew Snake knew all of this already - it was basic survival training.
He just had to look at him.
As he smoothed the bandage over the wound, he looked into his eyes once again just to try and understand why Zero would create these - children, in his likeness. Why would Eva agree? It wasn't something he could think about without feeling that fire catch in him all over again.
"You're doing good, Snake. Really. Keep it up."
"you call yourself a hero?" @savior-of-humanity 's Mothra ❥ ❝ villainous encounters and reactions ❞
Hyles keeps quiet for a bit, mesmerized by the image before him. The voice that rings so sweet, yet so firm — godly. It was a shame that they could not truly see eye to eye. By his perspective, Mothra is... noble, while Hyles could be seen as the direct opposite. And yet, here he is, quietly revering, loving the words delivered onto him, despite the inherent antagonism.
"A hero..." He stops to ponder, for he wouldn't leave Mothra bereft of answers. "I suppose not... I could never be something so grand. Instead, I am more of a herald." Unable to part his eyes from the creature before him, he raises his hands, as if believing he'd be able to touch her wings if he just reaches out.
She is beautiful – truly, her title befits her presence.
"Yet that is of no import, is it? If you are here, something has caught your attention... And I am almost completely sure it was not the messenger. Surely, I can be of some aid."

It was like meeting a mixture of simple things that made a not-so-simple even bigger presence come to life. Somehow, it felt like the person before him was so... seemingly normal that they truly weren't -- as if it were a very elaborate act. The garments, their features, their demeanor, it was all something Atom wouldn't have expected out of anyone -- and this person handled it excellently. They were somehow... too perfect in their simplicity and elegance.
Wait, was it the eyes? Was that what seemed so... otherworldly? The way they glowed and matched? Was it the way he felt so familiar yet so... unknown? He was unsure, but he still stood, waiting to discover this unprecedented mystery. Even the answer that came from the other person left more questions than answers. They were not normal, not at all, yet Atom could not pinpoint who or what they were. Even the voice coming out, the feeling it left inside him told him nothing of this encounter was a coincidence.
"No,... not I," he starts to sign back at the... individual in front of him, because somehow he knew that the person would understand sign language without a problem. Though he feels like he may be sucked into a void of nothingness the more he tries delving into the unknown, he just cannot keep himself from not knowing. "You are the special one, but I do not know why-- or how... What are you? Why are you here?"
“Oooh, I do not like that feeling.”
Did something just shift? He’s pretty sure he felt a shift. And not from his own powers. Did everything grow dim just now? Or was that the trick of his eyes? No. No that couldn’t be it. But he hoped for the ladder anyway.
Billy pauses mid-stroke, his pencil stuttering as a wave of something passes through the room. It feels... emptier somehow. He waits for something to happen, something to change, but nothing does.
With a quiet sigh, he returns to his calculations.
