“ i am so fucking exhausted, ” spencer whines as he lights his cigarette. there's only a few hours left of their shift to go, and he is already so over it. he's had busy days before, worse days even, but as a first-year resident he was still trying to adjust to the chaos that was the emergency room. “ what are you having for dinner tonight? and can i come over? ”

"oh! no little one?" it was almost like seeing a fish out of water, really, the sight of savannah without her daughter in tow, but he supposed that mostly had to do with the fact that, when he saw her, it was usually for the purpose of looking after rhia. it wouldn't make much sense for her not to be there, under those circumstances.
