I'm reminded by how goddamn funny it is that Sayaka, out of love and dedication, completely cuts herself off from her loved ones because she feels unworthy of them...

And how Homura does the same shit in Rebellion.

Literally, Homura is retracing Sayaka's steps there: Sayaka keeping Kyousuke and Hitomi in the dark about what happened, that she made a wish for them, what's going on and pretty much sacrificing herself to let them live in ignorance...

and then Homura does the same exact thing for Madoka, forsaking her own desires all to give her a normal life.
