#Selfie #HeaededToBedSoon #SayingGoodNight — it’s been a long schizophrenic day yall. With mental illness it’s hard sometimes to use m y coping skills. I get frustrated & wanna give up, but I don’t. The hallucinations say “whatever they want to” & it’s difficult to hear bc of the lies & ba they spin. It’s repetitive over & over again all of my waking days. I sleep to get away. Things Left Unsaid

I turned to walk away then i stopped, I came back, I butterfly kissed her left cheek, Because despite all her preconcieved physical flaws, I saw her as perfect. I butterfly kissed her right cheek, Because below was where heart laid, A symbol of a beautiful soul who looked for the good in others, A soul that had won me over, Then i kissed her forehead, There laid her mind, An intelligence which can be clearly seen through the windows of her brown eyes. Eyes that always made you feel like you were falling. Lastly i kissed her lips. For that brief time i was given permission to, They were mine and with a kiss I sealed my temporary ownership of the trinity.                           Laurie Mcdonald
