Another fun thing re:clothes is Miriam's opinion of her teammates' clothing.

1-Dottie: She has a really pretty work dress, nice school outfit, other cute clothes for the weekend. Finally, someone normal.

2-Alicia: Refuses to wear nice clothes if it's not an event or something like that. Usually wears sports outfits. Rating: Bad.

3-Lamar: Hawaiian shirts? Handknitted sweaters? Shirts with "The women and fish have entered an uneasy truce about me" on it? Every time, Miriam takes psychic damage from him.

I'm just thinking now about Dottie deciding that since she gets Magical Girl powers and a Magical Girl companion, she should also have a Magical Girl outfit.

Miriam takes her shopping for the cutest dress, and she wears it henceforth every time they get a job (unless it's urgent, in which case she usually appears with her school outfit, and it usually means Business)

Angst August - 18 - I don't want to be alone - Soulbonded

Dottie knew several things. Quite a lot of them, thede days. She knew how to defend herself, knife or not. She knew she had friends (adult and kids) who loved her. She knew her mom was trying her best after what happened in Daybreak. And she knew she wasn't going to be alone ever again, because she had an inseparable friend.

Or, at least, inseparable most of the time.

"How long you will be gone?" Dottie knew Isanir was doing the responsible thing by following Elothu, who had gotten into his mind to find pieces of the destroyed Derleth.

"Hopefully not long. I am sure he'll see how ridiculous his self-imposed task is, once we get there. Or at least, after some tries." Isanir shook her head. (Another thing Dottie knew, the Evocations used to remain mostly static when speaking. However, after living with humans like they had, they started to adopt their mannerisms.) "I know you don't like to be separated from me, and trust me, I don't like it either." Dottie averted her gaze. "But this must be done."

"I-I get it. You have an important job to do. I- wouldn't want to keep you from it."

"Thank you, Dottie. I know this might seem like a test of strength from your part, seeing how hurt you will be after I'm gone."

"Oh, no, it's- It's not that."

"No? Then what is it?"

Dottie finally looked at Isanir, with tears in eyes.

"I don't want to be alone."

"Oh, Dottie. You will not be - your mother is down the stairs, and she won't mind to keep you company."

"Yeah, but she also has work. I can't be with her forever."

"That's not a bad idea." Said Dottie, cleaning her tears.

"Then call your friends. I know they will be happy to spend time with you. You could even have a pijama party to keep yourself with others."

"See? You have a lot people sho care about you - I'm sure that, even if your ffiends eventually get busy, Alicia and the rest of our team will be happy to spend time with you."

"Oh- Oh! Alicia!"

"Yes?"

"She'll probably feel really lonely without Elothu! I should be with her until you two return!"

"Well, I can't say what Alicia might think of not having Elothu around. But if you feel that you will be help, then I suppose I have no argument against it."

"Yeah! Thanks for the ideas, Isa! You're the best!" Dottie said, back to smiling.

"I do what I can. But I will keep your praise in my heart, especially when Elothu eventually gets angry with me."

"He shouldn't - you're just trying to help him."

"Yes, but as I have already stated, he won't see it that way."

Dottie sighed.

"So this is goodbye, for awhile?"

"Hmm. I'll be with you again, it is a promise."

"Thank you again, Isa." Dottie smiled, and tried not to cry. "Good luck in your trip!"

"Thank you, Dottie. See you."

Dottie felt Isanir's energy leave her body. Even though her pain was mostly emotional, she couldn't discount the physical pain she felt at having her Evocation away. She sat on her bed, feeling extremely exhausted and in pain. But she had enough energy to see a little brilliant ball of light dance around her, and she smiled. Eventually, the ball that was Isanir left - Dottie waving goodbye all the way.

Dottie sat for another moment, and then she picked up her cellphone.

"Hey, Alicia? Isanir just left - ah, Elothu too? Hey, I thought maybe we could spend time together until they come back- Oh, thank you! I'll be there soon then!"

And leaving her room, Dottie felt as if her greatest fear (to be so alone she had no one to cry to) was, now, nothing more than a nightmare she could easily wake up from.

Out of the SB team, Dottie was the first to change her idioms from a singular God to gods. Then Lamar followed shortly after. Alicia got too much knowing about gods yet swearing for God, so ironically she took the longest. Miriam will swear on any god. Except Farudon. If she swear on Farudon then she means it and no God will help you.
