Hey Scott / Wix here I probs won't post much because my whole world is crumbling

AvidMC and Marma1ade have been found out to be problematic people (look at my most recent posts for evidence)

Because I figure some of y'all are just as nerdy as me, I transcribed Avid and Marm's conversation in the SBK S2 finale. Spoilers ofc. Enjoy :)

Marm: "You're not going to be happy with me."

Avid: "What-? Marm, I'm- we're fine. I'm fine with you. What? What are you talking about?"

Marm: "You're going to choose to go home."

Avid: "Yes! We're both choosing to go home!"

Marm: "You only get to choose for yourself."

Avid: "W- What does that mean?"* nervous laugh* "Marm, what- what are you talking about? What is this?"

Marm: "This is the anchor, the birthplace of all universes. It lives at the center of every reality. Without it, there is nothing. This flame used to be this entire valley. And without this flame, there is no anchor."

Avid: "So...are you telling me this is the higher order dimension where all of our power is coming from from the experiments?"

Marm: "Yes."

Avid: *sighs*

Marm: "And you are this close to putting it out."

Avid: "...ok. Well, fine, then we just stop doing all the research."

Marm: "It's too late for that. Someone must always be here to tend to the flame. I will choose to stay."

Avid: "Screw the universe! You're not even really her! Who are you?"

Marm: "I need you to trust me. I've given what's left to keep the flame alive. Now, one of you must take up the mantle."

Avid: "Well- then, I'll stay, too! We both stay. Why can't we do that?"

Marm: "I do not choose for you. I only tell you that you choose to leave, and I choose to stay. To tend this fire."

Avid: "...but what about our fire? I care more about our fire!"

Marm: "And I care more about this one. You will go back to fix the mess you've made."

Avid: *pause* "The Mass. It's still out there. We need to find it. We need to get rid of it. We need to make it right."

Marm: "I already know what you will say."

Avid: "Good! Then fine! I found my way here before! Now I know so much more than I ever thought I could ever know. I will find my way back here. "

*Avid vanishes*

Marm: "I know."

Avid's SBK finale spoilers!!

Hear me out. Too Little Too Late by Laufey but it's Avid speaking to Marm. Not in the "she fell in love with someone else" way, in the "I could've saved her and maybe we could've been happy together but that'll never happen because of my mistakes" way.

A post-canon AU where Avid hums this song to himself, especially the parts that say "guess that we're soulmates in different lifetimes" and "I know that you're happy but it just killed me."

He knows Marm did what was probably best, but it hurts. It hurts so bad.

Marm "you won't be happy with me" a1ade when I get you. My heart. It hurts.

I just realized, When the World Ends by Elio Mei fits SBK so well 🥺😭

Specifically Avid and Marm's last few episodes fit it especially, but I think it could also just apply to the series as a whole
