I physically can’t think about anything else anymore. SpongeBob the musical has consumed my life and I’m not okay. Every waking hour is spent thinking about this god damn musical. I liked in mildly in 2024. It has recently come back and punched me across the face straight into the floor and beat me into the dirt. This musical tickles my brain in ways that neurotypical people fear. This is the most incredible thing to grace the planet and I have not talked about anything else for the past 7 hours. I have not listened to anything else for like 2 days. All I watch is the live on stage recording and animations and explaining videos. I have paused my other special interests for this. This musical feeds me like a starved hungry child. It feels like an angel has drifted down onto earth and wrapped me in its wings in the form of a yellow sponge singing about his god damn town. I have cried tears over this musical. Of joy. Of despair. Of pure investment. This musical is litterally me. Not a specific character. Just the whole musical. If I had to be embodied by a piece of media. It would be SpongeBob the musical.
