Feeling like she was getting stood up; Grace was disappointed. Anthony seemed like such a great guy, but maybe she just wasn’t his type, she thought about to stand up and go pay for the wine she’s been drinking, but a ping from her phone stopped her. Pulling out her phone, she sees it’s a text from Anthony. Curious, she hit the text bubble to read his text. The red head softly smiles, reading his excuse. She immediately texted him back, “I thought you were ditching me for a blonde. Haha! Just get here safely, please.” She hits send and takes her seat back and waves the waitress over. She lets her know what’s going on and the waitress smiles and nods, saying no problem, mam.

Grace was a regular here, so she always got a little bit of special treatment. Taking a sip of her drink, she looks around the room at the happy couples. She couldn’t help but smile at them. Grace had a hard time in the dating department since her last relationship didn’t work out. She was all for giving up on love all together when a friend introduced her to Anthony. Yes, she had reservations at first, but from that first meeting, he seemed like a great catch, not to mention really handsome. Hearing the bell ding at the front, Grace looks over and smiles, seeing Anthony waltz in. “Hello Stranger.” She greets him with a chuckle and stands up, giving him a hug. “Everything ok at work?” She asked, knowing something happened earlier.

“Sounds great honey!” The red head calls out to her husband as she made her way to the living room. Spotting one of Skylar’s toys on the ground, she grabs it. Hopping around, faking left, she spins on her toes; bouncing up on them, she shoots the toy into the toy box in the corner. “Swish!” she throws her hands up. Doing a little shimmy with her hips, she really starts to get into the groove. Backing it up, pumping her arms; she laughs at herself. Continuing the rolling of her hips, her arms come above her head. One thing Grace missed doing a lot was dancing. It always left her feeling good. Turning her body around, still in the rhythm, Grace spots her husband Landon looking at her, “Oh My god!” she laughs, stopping her movements. “Come to the living room often?” She falls into the couch, trying to be cool. She covers her face with her hands, laughing into them. “You weren’t supposed to see that.”

Skyler’s ballet recital was packed with photographers and parents. All excited with starry eyes, waiting for their children to show what they’ve been learning for the last three months. Tonight, was an exciting night. Grace and Landon had something big to tell their daughter after her recital. It’s been something Grace and Landon have been working on for months. They had finally finished building a life-size Barbie Dream house for their daughter to play in. It took months of hiding it, but it all worked out. Gently squeezing her husband’s hand, she turns to look at him as she leads him through the crowd.

"Do you think she'll like it?” She asked him, knowing how much Skyler has talked Landon’s ear off about it. "I'm so excited to see our little girl perform. She's been like, momma, you and papa have to see me dance. I've been practicing a lot. I don't fall down a lot anymore." Grace mimics their little girl with a laugh. "I hope you tightened those bobby pins good, babe, otherwise her red curls will be all over the place during her dance." She playfully pokes his side. She loves seeing Landon all in Dad mood. It was such a beautiful scene. @wynterlanding

Muse: Grace Barnes {Jessica Chastain}

Plot: On a scorching day, Grace comes across an open fire hydrant in their neighborhood and joins the group of people enjoying the cool spray of water; among them is Your Muse whom Grace has often seen around but has never spoken to because they’ve always seemed intimidating–but they don’t seem very intimidating after getting a bucket of water dumped on their head and laughing about it.

The heat was unbearable. “I’m about to stick some ice cubes in my clothes, I swear to god.” The ginger says with a laugh as she airs out her silk white tank top. Her and few other neighbors were sitting on their steps, trying to get some fresh air due to the power going out in the whole neighborhood. Apparently a poll was hit or something, Grace wasn’t too sure. Chatting with some of her neighbors, she was able to learn of the news. “That’s nuts. I hope they can get everything up and running soon though because today’s the hottest day of the year and man I miss my AC,” Grace says with a chuckle.

Turning her head a little, she noticed some people were gathered by a kid’s water playhouse. That’s when she saw him. He was laughing while chatting with some of the other males as he got water dumped on him. Grace couldn’t help but smile too because his smile was just that contagious. Grabbing her bottle of water, Grace takes a sip before placing it down and going over to them, “Hey, can I get in on this?” She asked referring to the sprinklers they had all set up to go off.
