I am coming to try for the Sea Carnage!
I would make them have it/they pronouns, and I would name them Poryphyrion, which means purple fish in Greek mythology (source : behindthename)
“Go on. Jump in, siren… you either jump, or we push you….” The residents of the small city stood behind Solar. He looked down at the water below. The water splashed around the sharp rocks in the water. He had no choice really.
He was no murderer. He wasn’t bloodthirsty. He usually didn’t go close to humans. And even when he did, he had his disguise. When he had that, he almost looked completely identical to a human. Except… his pupils.. teeth.. and hands… his pupils were slit, his teeth were like a shark’s, and his hands were still a bit webbed. The humans rarely noticed him. But when they did, this was usually the result. His hands being tied behind his back, a cloth in his mouth, and him standing on a high ledge. He wanted to transform. He didn’t like these legs. But he didn’t really want to get pierced by the sharp rocks below. He glanced behind at the humans, before taking a deep breath and jumping. Well, he decided he would risk it. His jump was calculated, but even if he missed by half a meter he would end up dead. When his body reached the water, he immediately wiggled his hands free, and started swimming down, under a rock. Usually the citizens fired crossbows at him. Or really rarely guns. But that was really really really rarely. On these islands not many people owned guns. And that was good. He quickly shed his human disguise, feeling the freeing feeling of his body shifting, and his legs melting together, getting rid of that unnatural form. His ears got frilled, and his gills ripping on his side. It was painful, but it was glorious. The feeling of the cold, salty sea water running through his gills filling his body with freshening oxygen. He pried the cloth from between his teeth. He waited until he saw arrows sink to the rocky bottom of the shallow bay, and then he swam out from under the rock. His body was long, and striped. Like a sea snake, his underbelly was a light color, his back was a deep blue, his entire body being segmented by thick black stripes, but he also had small spots all the way to the end of his tail, that glowed during the night and in the dark due to them being bioluminescent. He looked up at the sky, and saw, that is was already darkening. Crazy how long those humans held him captive. Almost an entire day! Lunatics…
Sol swam deeper down. As he passed the coral reefs, these lit up beneath him, as the little bioluminescent creatures moved out of his way, lighting up. Suddenly, he saw a big purple shape swim below him, but it was too fast for him to analyze what it was. But he knew it wasn’t something he saw every single day. It was something new. Something different. Sol slowed down, and tried to follow in the way he saw the creature go. It was so fast for it’s size. Sol kept seeing just glimpses of the purple, and he tried his best to follow as close as he could. And after 10 minutes of chasing, Sol found himself in front of a cave. He hesitated. Not because he wasn’t strong, or fast. But because he didn’t know what the creature was. But after circling for a couple seconds, he swam inside, prepare for the worst. He saw some purple glow faintly I’m the distance, but he still couldn’t tell what it was. As he approached, he finally saw. It was.. a Carnage Camel? He knew about them, but he didn’t know there were sea variants too. Maybe a Sea Carnage..? Whatever. It doesn’t matter. It matters more, if it was aggressive towards him or not. Sol swam closer in a way, so that the Sea Carnage saw, he was peaceful and that he shows surrender. The creature tilted it’s head, floating closer to Solar. But… it didn’t seem to be aggressive. It seemed quite curious towards Sol to be honest. It’s tail curled, and it’s hoop like patterns still glowed with this purple glow. Sol looked up at it and that’s when he noticed. It’s head was almost completely different to it’s land living cousins. It had only one false eye, and that rested on the bridge of it’s head. The false eye was the same purple as the hoop like patterns on its back. It also had frills. It was similar to Sol’s, if he looked at it that way. Sol also noticed, as it was floating next to him, that it’s apes were also webbed. That was strange. Strange but really cool . And also effective. It was surely a strange creature. Sol thought for a moment, and then he spoke. “hi.. I’m Solar. And I’m a siren. But I don’t want to hurt you. Actually it would be pretty cool if we became friends, no..?” he said. The language of sirens was so everyone understood it in their own language, so no one knew how sirens sounded really. The Sea Carnage tilted it’s head the other way. “you want to be friends..?” it said. But..Sol heard it in his head. Which was weird, but also really cool. Once again. This creature surely had a bunch of new things to show him. “yes.” Sol replied. “But.. I don’t know your name.. do you even have a name…?” He asked curiously. The creature shook it’s head. “no.. but.. if you want to be my friend.. could you give me a name..?” it’s voice echoed in Sol’s head. He thought for a moment, before a name popped into his head. “what about Shiden..? Or Poryphyrion?” he stated his ideas. The Sea Carnage thought for a moment. “I like Poryphyrion. I like how it sounds.” It decided. Sol smiled. “it indeed sounds really cool in my opinion too!” they both giggled. “Should we… go somewhere…? I’m getting kind of hungry.” Sol admitted. “what about a fun little competition on who can catch more fish? And then we feast on what we caught!” Poryphyrion suggested. Sol’s eyes immediately lit up. “Yeah, Absolutely! Sounds amazing to me!” he said to it. “Come on, let’s go! I know a really good spot!” Sol said as they swam their was outside the cave, in the dark sea, as it was only lit by their bioluminescence, and the many bioluminescent fish, that were swimming around the coral reef…

I do love how you went about this and the interaction! It's absolutely adorable!!
