✶ on the court, you and grace hate each other, like absolutely despise each other. constantly, you're making jabs. saying something bad about the other person or shoving when either of you get too close. it's intense and most of the wbb knows about your guys' rivalry.

✶ off the court, you're pretty much the same, although a little less intense. you avoid eye contact, maybe you curse under your breath at grace as she jabs you with her shoulder when you leave the court. you never shake hands after games; sportsmanship practically flies out the window when it comes to the pair of you.

✶ yes, grace gets on your nerves and (in your mind) she's a bad person, but you know who's worse? your boyfriend. he's an absolute piece of shit, but of course, you don't realize this until it's too late. until you're at a party and he's sneaking sedatives into your drink when you aren't looking, and you're drugged out of your mind, barely even comprehending what's going on around you. but maybe grace isn't so bad a person, because you feel strong arms wrap around you, saving you from the forceful grip of your boyfriend, pulling you away into the safety of the night.

✶ after the party, you and grace become close. like incredibly close. yes, she happens to live states away and was only at the party because she was bored, but you manage to find time for each other, most of the time flying out

✶ games are still kind of heated, but the two of you can handle things better now. you're able to joke with one another during press conferences, making light jabs at the other

✶ now being able to be together alone, let's just say you're fighting in different ways. but in bed. oh god, the sex is amazing. but the first time? jesus, that might have been the best you guys had.
