I’m ready to start the process of getting a proper Society name and heraldry. I’m fairly wed to the Norse era because tbh it’s the most comfy garb I’ve ever worn (I did late 14th century my first go round and no thank you, cotehardies with a million sleeve buttons! That’s a young woman with no chronic pain’s game).
Rav is my name in online and nerd circles since 1996, so I have been using it this go round as a place holder, Rav of Owl’s Nest. Ravna is a more modern Icelandic name, but Hrefna/Hrafn appear to be viable period alternatives.
Since I am known for my enormous red longhair cat, Inch, who I plan to use in my heraldry (he is my pride and joy and believes himself to be my biological human son), I’d love a surname that reflects that. Functionally I’m angling for the most Viking-era form of Rav Red-Cat. I’ll take any direction!
