I was a lot of my classmates making art announcing they are going to SCAD and even though I’ve already talked about SCAD on here before I wanted to make one too! I’m an animation major at SCAD now!

So I never told y'all, but YA GIRL GOT INTO ART SCHOOL
I ended up getting accepted into SCAD and recently got my physical acceptance letter. I'm very excited about the whole thing mostly since I get to leave home and the city I'm currently living in! Sunny days are nearby in the future
Yoooo I am so confused. I dont know if I should go to scad Atlanta or scad savannah. Like there are pros and cons to both! This is a really tough decision and I really don't have that much time left to make up my mind. My first thought was Atlanta because hello! It's the city, the night life would be amazing, I'm in the middle of midtown, but savannah is much larger, near the water, away from my family, greater opportunities, more people and just ugh why don't they just have one campus so I dont have to decide? Goddamnit. I'm literally about to heads or tails coin flip this decision
ON MY WAY!
My journey to SCAD begins right now. I'm crazy nervous and crazy tired. My stomach is doing flips, but this is going to be great.
Prepping for the Move.
This week has been exhausting. Picking my rental truck tomorrow night and then I shall be on the road Friday and Savannah bound.
I could access my class schedule today finally. I had been locked out of MyScad for a few days now due to password complications. I have morning classes in halls that are pretty spread out across campus. So I'm in the process of researching bus routes and what not because I fear I won't have a car in time. I'm also switching jobs mid back-to-school season, which is really buggin me out. BTS season is like Black Friday for my job... but for two weeks. D: Yesterday was my last day at my old job location. It hasn’t hit me yet but today just feels like a day off. I know I’m going to miss everyone in DC that I’ve grown close. My new boss in Savannah wants to put me on a 30+ hour work week the same week I start class as a full time student. Oh and my birthday is that week too. ….I am dreading my own birthday. That’s sad.
I secretly can't wait for these next two months to be over with where I can chill and be in the groove of things.
The past few days my roommate and I have been busy getting energy/cable/internet stuff hooked up for our apartment. I was prepared for first months rent, deposit, and first month bills but oh god I was not prepared for all the installation fees!! There are so many of them.
Anyways, today my roommate started her drive from Texas to Savannah. I think from where she lives to Savannah it is a 16 hour drive. So she'll get there tomorrow late evening.
Also, I don't think I've mentioned this before but I wanted to share the fact that I met my roommate on the SCAD on Facebook page. I think it's an app? or whatever. Not sure how you access it but I think I got the link via email. Anyway, it is totally worth it to see what other students are starting the same time you are. You can also schedule meet-ups and what not. (not that I've done that). The page is convenient for finding people with other similar interests. For example, you can “like” a bunch of crap you would “like” on your regular facebook, (pages, bands, interests, etc) and then the app matches those who have the most similarity to you. It's helpful. I recommend using it. :)
