"So I guess running around and screaming is normal."
“Yes. Yes it is. At least where I come from.” She crossed her arms.

“Dr.Rao? what brings you to my lab”
“You know lady, I’m not sure what that was supposed to do, but chemicals aren’t exactly useful against me. Not that I blame you, but you really do need to come up with a reason for me not to just drink you like a capri-sun.”

Pacing the expanse of the throne room had grown exhausting. Her young mind raced with thoughts of revenge and how to exact it. She would hurt them, slice them down in their prime. Cutting not with a bowie knife but with a surgical one. Precision cuts where it would hurt them most. Show them how it feels. How it feels to be torn down in your prime.
But she had been away for some time. Some time. No, she needed help now. Someone who had spent time with the X-Men when she hadn't. How fortunate, then, that such a someone was with her now.
"---Rao, get in here, now."
" And this is why I don't want to stay anymore."

She didn’t turn around, gloved hands remaining clasped behind her back as she stared out the window at the setting sun. The sky was alight with pinks and oranges blending together in a way that only nature could make not terrible. The woman was certain Dr. Rao was waiting patiently for her to say something, to ask her why, to beg her to stay, as one would expect when a valuable asset was leaving. She was met with nothing, she couldn’t see the way Jubilation’s forehead crinkled in the way it does when a headache starts to settle in. She only saw strong shoulders squared against a quickly darkening sky.
”Then go. Your time has been appreciated, Doctor.”

The red light blinked for a few seconds while she fiddled with the remote in her hand. The time was right, they had had a few days to let the realization of what they had seen sink into their heads. And so she hit the button, allowing the specialized camera to record while she glanced down at the restrained Dr. Rao who sat propped against the console. Oh this would be fun, just to see their faces. A smirk appeared then, favoring the left side of her face as the telecommunications line opened with the X-Men. "Hey, guys." The tone of her voice was far more chipper than it should have been. "I'm sure you all have questions, an' I'm sure they're all very interesting... to you, but I don't actually care." She waved a dismissive hand before reaching just off screen and leaning back up into partial view, Dr. Rao in her grasp and just out of sight. "Here's the thing. You are a terrible family. You get so wrapped up in your personal problems that you don't notice when people go slipping through the cracks... speaking of..." She pulled Dr. Rao up, fingers grasping at either side of the woman's mouth as Jubilee sneered at the X-Men once more. "Missing someone?"

{ scaldinggenetherapy } She hadn't left the underground since her turning. But now the city felt alive in ways it never had before. Everything was so much more vibrant and the city had a beat all its own. It was almost enchanting. She was not out for the fresh air, however. She had been hoping to catch one of the X-Men out and about. Instead she found Dr. Rao, the last person to ever see her alive. This would do. Stepping from the shadows, red eyes punctured the darkness just as much as the white toothed smile she gave the older woman. "Heh... looks like the X-Men went easy on you for letting me get away."
