Repost from @chasingmichaelmills using @RepostRegramApp - The decision to train/compete as a scaled athlete has been one of the hardest things for me to do. It was a pride thing and I didnt want to accept it. Talking with @jimmy_hensel a few months ago got me to thinking. I fought with the fight inside of feeling I HAD to max out a certain weight and hitting a certain PR. Do I HIT that PR, take risk of DAMAGING my body or do I go and just make it a little heavier so I can get the same stimulus? Reality is we are not always going to be able to do everything we want to do. We will eventually have limitations in life that we will just ultimately have to accept. I am okay with that. This is why I am programming Rx and Scaled for @mayhemathlete Adaptive. I want Athletes that are in the transition such as myself to have a program that they feel they can still be competitive and still get something out of their training. Be on the lookout in the coming week and the official announcement from the Mayhem Compete I.G. page. #MayhemAthlete #MayhemAdaptive #MayhemMindSet #CrossFitMayhem #ScaledIsTheNewRx #Rx https://www.instagram.com/p/BvSFk4eBtOO/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=3gu6mbfdv346
