I'm Caroline from Gaza. Am sorry for sending you this request without your permission. My house was destroyed in the war, and my family lost everything. We've been displaced multiple times, but there's no safe place here. I'm battling Type 1 Diabetes and can't afford insulin, and my mother needs treatment for kidney failure outside Gaza. @zuhuraomar, who you reblogged the "donation"post of, is part of a scam account operation. They are one of multiple accounts stealing the stories of real people on gofundme and repostkng them here to trick people into giving them money

after seeing this I looked a little into it, and unfortunately this is true. I'm sorry I had no idea and I will find the reblogs and delete them. this is absolutely disgusting, using innocent people who need help for someone's greed.

They have a pretty established history of lying/misrepresenting themselves as different people in need, and have been messaging folks on Tumblr to try and pressure people into sharing their donation posts. They will deliberately use inflammatory/upsetting images and scenarios (ie, parental death, animal abuse, homophobia and custody battles) to guilt and emotionally manipulate people into sharing and donating.
