DA Fandom Artist Harassment
Yet another lousy attempt at smearing legitimate artists on tumblr by lady--lucrezia/thestolenthrone/madame-helen. Sadly they don't have enough credentials or know enough about art or copyright laws to make their case legitimate or believable.

In case anyone takes seriously this racist thief, a few words about their accusations:
- "Artist edits an art without mentioning the original artist" - if you actually know anything about art you can see that schwarznummer1's piece is not an "edit". It's painted from scratch using the Hellelil and Hildebrand, the meeting on the turret stairs as a reference. Character bodies and background proportions differ from the referenced painting meaning that the artist sketched and built the scene from scratch by themselves. The brushstrokes, choice of color, lighting and entire atmosphere is unique and consistent with schwarznummer1's art style, which will be very hard to achieve by just editing Burton's painting. It's not a change of colors or textures (thats actually very simple to do) like we can see on thestolenthrone/lady–lucrezia’s illicit edits of stolen art but I do understand that it is hard for them to grasp that some people actually worked really hard for their skill in art.
- "artist does not even give credit and does not mention that it is an edit. Original artist is: Frederic William Burton. If you edit, name it an edit and don't confuse people by not mentioning anyone as if you drew it by yourself" - The painting titled Hellelil and Hildebrand, the meeting on the turret stairs by the victorian painter Sir Frederic William Burton belongs to the public domain. To quote the Guide Through the Legal Jungle: "If the material is in the public domain (meaning the copyright in the work has expired or never existed), copyright law places no obligation on you to refer to the work as public domain, to cite the source, or to provide any other type of credit. Likewise, if your use of the material qualifies as a fair use (here I’m referring to fair use as defined under Section 107 of the Copyright Act), copyright law places no obligation on you to indicate that you’re relying on fair use, to cite the source, or to provide any other type of credit." So no, the artists did nothing wrong by not attributing a well known paiting (not to lady--lucrezia tho) that belongs to the public domain.
"This post was created with the help of several people who sent screenshots or pointed it out ! <3 Thanks" - it's actually one person with multiple accounts stalking, harassing and stealing from mainly non white legitimate artists on tumblr. This is not an accident, they choose their victims with purpose.
Thanks for reading and if you made it this far go and reblog that beutiful art by @schwarznummer1!
