My rant against Scan.co.uk
I'm not hating, I'm just annoyed and disappointed with Scan.co.uk.
I ordered a set of items for my new PC build (which included a motherboard, CPU, cooler, RAM, HDD) on Friday 27th April 2012, for a delivery on Monday 30th April 2012. I chose Monday so I didn't have to waste my Saturday waiting in for a delivery that could show up at any time.
Moday comes. I get ready for an exciting (yet boring) day in waiting for my delivery (which apparently hasn't been picked from the stockroom or dispatched yet).
Gone 12 noon, which means either Scan.co.uk or DPD have failed to met the pre-noon delivery time I chose in the delivery process (which costed more!). So I rang Scan asking what has happened to my delivery, only to be told an item (the CPU cooler) is out of stock!!
How nice of them to let me know over the past 3 days that it was out of stock!
So I now have to wait till tomorrow (when I have work!) for my delivery which I will probably miss and have to be redelivered on the Wednesday, when I have work again! Thursday the same thing!
The phone call was straight forward, no issue there, but the fact there was no notification that an item I ordered was out of stock was terrible. I could've been waiting all week and have no idea that my whole delivery wasn't going to arrive!
Won't be using Scan.co.uk again, that's for sure.
