My rant against Scan.co.uk
I'm not hating, I'm just annoyed and disappointed with Scan.co.uk.
I ordered a set of items for my new PC build (which included a motherboard, CPU, cooler, RAM, HDD) on Friday 27th April 2012, for a delivery on Monday 30th April 2012. I chose Monday so I didn't have to waste my Saturday waiting in for a delivery that could show up at any time.
Moday comes. I get ready for an exciting (yet boring) day in waiting for my delivery (which apparently hasn't been picked from the stockroom or dispatched yet).
Gone 12 noon, which means either Scan.co.uk or DPD have failed to met the pre-noon delivery time I chose in the delivery process (which costed more!). So I rang Scan asking what has happened to my delivery, only to be told an item (the CPU cooler) is out of stock!!
How nice of them to let me know over the past 3 days that it was out of stock!
So I now have to wait till tomorrow (when I have work!) for my delivery which I will probably miss and have to be redelivered on the Wednesday, when I have work again! Thursday the same thing!
The phone call was straight forward, no issue there, but the fact there was no notification that an item I ordered was out of stock was terrible. I could've been waiting all week and have no idea that my whole delivery wasn't going to arrive!
Won't be using Scan.co.uk again, that's for sure.

Ahhh! Project handed in. PC stuff ordered. An item out of stock with no notification, so no delivery. ANGRY!
Wednesday. Bound. Boom!
Tuesday
What an epic day. Loads done, meeting with supervisor, check through and finishing. Now all printed!
Monday
Sister's birthday! Paid for a meal, got some ink for my printer. Deadline of Wednesday to get it all printed. No pressure.
Sunday
Working out the kinks in the project. Coming together nicely.
Bad weather is coming.
Saturday
So many people in town, but they're people who stop you to ask things. They don't know when to stop!
Friday
Cracking on with work. No big deal.
Thursday
Finally cracking down on these equations!
Wednesday
Early start for work. Rest of the day free! Some changes to the network at home is in order!
I must've looked like Harry Potter wearing these when I was a youngster. Bad ass!
Tuesday
No reason to be tired. I've had my cup of tea, I'm just drained!
