I need to here your thoughts on the Martyn as a scapegoat theory now that secret life is over.
Quick explanation for anyone who doesn't know; I have a Life Series theory that Martyn is the scapegoat since he always dies to the winner.
Okay, so I'm really glad you asked this! (TY!) Because I'd actually written this theory off, since I didn't think Martyn had died to Scar, and it was already iffy since the question of "does it still count if Martyn wins" was on the table.
BUT- I checked the deaths, and found something quite interesting.
So, the stretch when it comes to the scapegoat theory is of course, Grian didn't kill Martyn in 3rd Life. Scar killed him, and I always reasoned that Scar was the one meant originally to win, since in Martyn's lore "Grian was never meant to be there," and Scar was the second-to-last alive.
But now that Scar's won, we find an interesting pattern.
Which is that in the season that he won, GRIAN killed Martyn.
It's reversed for some reason. When Scott and Pearl won, they both killed Martyn themselves. But when Grian wins, Scar kills Martyn, and when Scar wins, Grian kills Martyn. So, the question is:
Why? Did Grian killing Martyn somehow reverse the mistake in 3rd Life causing Scar to win? I still don't really know the exact connection, but if anyone has any ideas, or if I think of any in the meantime, feel free to share, because I think this theory almost became more plausible than it was originally lmao.
