I'm not sure if opossums hanging upside down from a tree is true or not, but if it is, do you have a pole or anything that maypop likes to climb on and hang from?

Baby possums can hang from their tails, and do when climbing. Adult opossums, however, are too heavy for their tails to fully support. Maypop used to like climbing up our curtains and sitting on the top of the curtain rod, but she never hung from it. She only wrapped her tail around it to help her climb down - something she does pretty much any time she has to climb down anything vertical. Here's a picture of baby Maypop hanging from her tail in an attempt to reach the next branch (apologies for the poor quality!)
