"I'm dying," Drift declared, throwing himself down on Ratchet's desk, knocking aside datapads and other work with abandon. Ratchet glared at him with a heavy sigh and a raised brow.

"What did you do now?" he asked, unamused.

"Y'know, I really thought you'd be more concerned," Drift said, still laying on the table, looking at Ratchet upside-down. "What if I really am dying?"

"If you were dying, I'd be the one telling you," Ratchet pointed out. "I'm the doctor."

"Well, doc, for your information, I've been damaged beyond repair," Drift said. "Just look at what Rodimus did to me during our spar!" He held out his forearm, and Ratchet took it, looking for the so-called deadly wound. It was hardly even a scratch, not even cutting all the way through his paint layers.

"Drift, you're fine."

"No, it's deadly. I can feel my spark fading out!" Drift cried, dramatically flailing himself even further about Ratchet's desk. Ratchet just rolled his eyes, fighting the smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"You're a child."

"I'm dying, Ratty!" Ratchet sighed, and gently raised Drift's forearm to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to the plating.

"There, better?"

"Mmm, I don't know," Drift said, a smile spreading across his face, infectiously happy and oh-so-smugly pleased with himself. "I think I might need a few more, just in case."

hmmmmmm okay idk if this is unpopular or not im not up to date on the driftcourse but personally i think his cyberverse appearance shouldve been left at just that little nameless cameo he got in like... season 1 i think? but the whole "introduces him by name just to do the Twist Villian shit .4 seconds later" thing was so exhausting and honestly i dont think they had time to flesh him out at all or make him like, an actual character, and i wouldve rather him be left out entirely because that... sucked.

impression now: i really really wish i could enjoy him more because i like him so much and his concepts r rlly cool but at this point i trust like. maybe three people to be normal about him. gay married robot.

fav moment: hmmmm probably the bit in the delphi arc where ratchet is like "youre not bothered by the djd?" and hes like "of course not lol" and then like two hours later he asks ratchet to just kill him now instead of letting the djd have their way with him. also the bit with overlord where he and ratchet stand up to fight together and hes like "my faith will protect me. my faith and my sword." and ratchets like "and your friend"
