Pattern is by @bhooked Okay, here's how it went (this is an infinity scarf btw): So, back in mid November I was doing a deep dive on all the scarf patterns on the internet because I wanted to find some I could make for my friends as Christmas gifts; I saw this scarf and I was like SOLD. Bought the yarn and honestly couldn't wait to make it. Now, because I'm not the brightest bulb and I have little experience with scarves, I didn't stop and think "that really doesn't look like any crochet stitch I know" - I just thought it was some type of wizardry and went on with my day. Fast forward to the moment I have to start making the scarf and I actually look at the pattern: this isn't just crochet, it's hairpin lace, and in order to make it, you need to know how to use a loom. Because I was too invested in the pattern at that point, I did indeed end up buying a little hairpin lace loom and learning how to use it. It was an important teaching moment - as in, try to exercise your reading skills earlier in the future. But learning how to make hairpin lace was quite a bit of fun too. And it looks very pretty. #crochet #uncinetto #ganchillo #hairpinlace #scarf #scarfcrochet #ambroscrochet #giftideas #christmasgift #handmade #handmadeinitaly #handmadeinflorence #crochetersofinstagram #crochetinspiration #smallbusiness #supportsmallbusiness #smallartist #supportsmallartists #fiberart (presso Florence, Italy) https://www.instagram.com/p/CJV5H3YrlKv/?igshid=1k2hb9bnhw6u3
