"Unfortunately..." She smiled at the Narrator with glazed, foggy eyes. "Though, if you're okay with it, I wouldn't mind sharing a nap..."

“just tell me something, was it really worth it?”

“It wasn’t worth you finding out about it,” she muttered, quiet in shame. She had only reset half an hour ago, and she already wanted to try it again in lieu of talking it out with the Narrator. She wished he never walked in on it. If he only waited five more minutes, she would have gotten her death over with and hid the weapon that caused it.

“I don’t do it often anymore, I promise. It’s nothing to worry about.”

“What did I do?”

“You’re under arrest for being criminally adorable. Approach with your hands above your head or I will have no choice but to subdue you in a bear hug.”

"Don't try to move. Just get some rest, okay?"

“I didn’ hhit my he--ad th-at h-hard...” slurred Marlise, doing the exact opposite of what the Narrator told her to do. She shifted, trying to sit up as her head felt as heavy as a bowling ball. That’s what she got for trying to climb the warehouse shelves.

I like how the Narrator is such a go-getter who constantly tries to move forward. It throws Marlise off really bad, because, instead of keeping his head in the story, he thinks of a bigger picture. On the other hand, Marlise hasn’t thought about escaping in a long while and has gotten more-or-less comfortable.

She’s confused, but fond of him.
