Going Home by eleanora scribe Via Flickr: Old Mr. Johnson tap tapped his brakes as he turned into Patty Lane. He knew by now that the streets were hazardous in this kind of weather. If you are wondering what brought that smile to his face... he was thinking of what the kids used to call the road, but he was too much of a gentleman to say it. His wipers just about have given out. The noise they make is hard on the old ears and new ears alike. Any couples parked along Patty Lane would surely hear him coming and have time to make themselves presentable. Or at least come up for air. Ronald, as Mr. Johnson is called, looked forward to getting home and having a nice quiet weekend. Mrs Johnson had run him ragged last weekend. She had her hair up in vivid rollers and shook her finger at him almost all day. At least until he had successfully installed enough Christmas lights to blow out a bulb 2000 miles away. The truck creaked past the last of the houses and Ronald headed out to the farm.
